Feature of the Week: Nikki Harris, 10in30Fit Leader
My name is Nikki Harris. I'm a native of Virginia, and a wife and mother. By day I work as a Grants Compliance & Operations Manager. The time in between consists of me running my personal business, building my brand and facilitating my free accountability/support fitness group, #10in30Fit.
2) What is your blog, program, agency, organization about? When did it start?
10in30Fit started out of my own desire to have a support system along what I like to call my journey to health -- not a weight loss journey. Because of my progress, started receiving so many questions about what I was doing. I wanted to create a fun, non-judgemental space where people could get support without having to sign up for a membership, purchase a product or sign their life away. Haha!
3) What is your mission? Why do you feel strongly about this particular area of interest?
My mission is to help people kickstart their journey to health. So much of beginning a weight loss journey is about debunking the lies we tell ourselves for why we can't and learning to give oneself positive affirmations. I want to let anyone that has the desire to change know that they can do it to! I also want them to have a place where they feel safe to talk about their fitness/health frustrations, and feel free to admit when they do fall off the wagon. The group runs by a strict no judgement policy, and that will never change!
4) If someone asked for your feedback on how to live their best life? What would your response be in one sentence?
"Find yourself, know yourself, love yourself".
5) How and where can people find more information about you?
At present, people can follow me @nikki.michele.bff to find out the latest news about the #10in30Fit group. Be on the lookout, though! A #10in30Fit Instagram page is in the works!
