Poetry: "Everything I Do, Is in You" The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit shows up wherever I go.

Through signs and wonders.

He gives me soft kisses in the rain, soft kisses with the wind.

He’s in the cool water that I drink, running down my throat,

the shower head that cleanses me, running down to my toes.

He’s in the food that I eat,

It nourishes my body, inside and out.

He’s in the greens, the grains, living food,

He’s in the fruit that replenishes my soul.

He’s in the animals, the birds chirping, reminding me everything is gonna be okay.

He’s in the stillness of the turtles by the creek,

The hawk that follows me, and watches my every move.

He protects me from hidden things, guides my feet on the righteous path.

Though sometimes I stray, He always comes back for me, and for this I am grateful.

He’s in the rabbit that jumps in front of me, reminding me of what's to come.

Abundance, fertility, youthfulness, greater things unsung.

He’s in the ducks wading in the pond, unbothered by the pollution that surrounds them.

Trials and tribulations come, but they know they will be alright.

He’s at the peak of the mountain top, rooting for me to keep climbing.

He’s in the phone call I needed from a friend, giving me encouragement to go on.

He’s in my momma’s voice, her weekly cards she sends in the mail.

He’s in the rekindling of my and my brother’s relationship,

In my Everything.

Without Him I am Nothing.

John 3:8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
