Devotionals: Enjoy the Work You Do

Ecclesiastes 3:22  So I saw that there is nothing better for a person than to enjoy their work, because that is their lot. For who can bring them to see what will happen after them?

It's 6:30 am in the morning and my alarm blares. "But I don't want to go to work!!" I say to myself. Struggling to get out of bed, I wish to rest for a few more hours. This is the thought of many of us. Our alarms go off, reminding us of our responsibilities.  “I only got a few hours of rest last night," we say.  “I couldn't fall asleep,” we say.  With all of this, our alarms disregard our feelings and continue to sound.
"But we must enjoy our work," says King Solomon, son of  King David in Ecclesiastes 3: 22.
We complain about our jobs. Many times we don't even want to go in. We are tired of working, tired of the toil. But what about those who don't have a job? What about those who have been injured, Who are unable to work? Those who no longer have the opportunity? These are the things we must think of when we dread our labor.

Be Encouraged,
