Devotionals: God Knows All

Psalm 139: 1-6 1You have searched me, LORD, and you know me. 2

You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3

You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. 4

Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely.5
You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. 6
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.

I like nice things. I mean don't we all? My kind of nice is, kind treatment, good customer service, a good conversation, clean food, a seat in nature, a chocolate croissant and a cup of coffee with a nice view. Those are a few of my nice things. When I go out, I like positive, chill vibes. A kind person and conversation makes the time even more enjoyable. And God's knows that. As I continue my relationship with him, and let him guide my feet; he always brings me places or creates a space for me to be comfortable and have peace. And HE brought me to one of these places last week.

Last Saturday, I woke up in the morning and decided I wanted to treat myself to brunch. Two years ago (before I left Boston),  there was a brunch café called Dot2Dot café  on Dorchster Ave I would visit on the weekends. I really liked this café in particular, because the owner lived in London, and the vibe and food favored a small European café. Their eggs and hash was to die for, and they even had a vegan breakfast plate ( my fave).  I had my heart set on going to this place. I got myself pretty, and headed along the way.

Once arriving to the café, I found that Dot2Dot cafe was closed, and a new café had taken it's place. I was ready to turn around, but my Spirit told me to go inside. The name of the new café was called Caffe Zia Gianna . An Italian Bakery & Cafe which specializes in Sicilian Breakfast. Upon walking in, I was already intrigued by the cleanliness, design and feel. I got there for 1 pm and was told that they still made breakfast around that time. I was happy and took a seat.

I ordered the Sicilian French toast which came with hash browns, and I added scrambled eggs on the side. I also ordered a cup a tea , which was brought to me with a small kettle of hot water, and the server presented me with an assortment of teas to choose from. I laughed and smiled at God as he knows what I like and made sure I still received the service I had in mind from Dot2Dot café. "I have you my child, I am all you need", he said to me. This small reminder reminded me that God knows us and knows what our heart desires. He has ALL we need. If we trust him with our lives and where he wants us to be, he will lead us to places we can't even imagine. I enjoyed my breakfast very much at Caffe Zia Gianna's . Everything was scrumptious and the customer service was pleasant. For more information on this cafe, see here.

Be Encouraged and remember, God knows what we want and HE knows ALL we need,

Noelani
